CarSecure Standard Warranty Policy
Thank you for choosing CarSecure for your vehicle security needs. We are committed to providing high-quality service and support for our security systems. All of our installations come as standard with a 2 year warranty. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully to understand the scope and limitations of your warranty coverage.
1. Scope of Warranty
- Covered Components: The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the security system and its installation, provided that CarSecure originally installed the device.
- Exclusions: The warranty does not cover issues arising from user error, such as forgetting the code or improper use of the system. Software upgrades to the security system are not covered under this warranty. Additionally, any removal or reinstallation of the device necessitated by work performed on the vehicle by third parties is not covered.
2. Eligibility Criteria
- Original Owner: The warranty is valid only for the original owner of the vehicle and is non-transferable to subsequent owners.
- Installation Conditions: To be eligible for this warranty, the device must have been installed or reinstalled by CarSecure. If an existing client wishes to add this warranty, they must ensure that they are the original owner and that no other installer has worked on the device.
- Third-Party Work: If any work has been performed on the device by any other installer—whether TASSA approved, Thatcham approved or not—the warranty is immediately void.
3. Service and Support
- Deinstallation and Reinstallation: Any deinstallation or reinstallation of the device, whether requested by the client or required due to vehicle repairs or modifications, is chargeable and not covered under this warranty. To maintain the validity of the warranty, any such work must be performed by CarSecure.
- Response Time: CarSecure is committed to providing timely support and service. However, this warranty does not include next-day or 24-hour service. We will attend to warranty claims as soon as possible, but response times may vary depending on workload and availability.
4. Warranty Limitations
- Non-Covered Issues: The warranty does not cover any issues related to the improper use of the security system, including but not limited to, forgetting the code, misuse, or accidental damage.
- Transferability: This warranty is non-transferable and remains valid only for the original owner who purchased the warranty.
